First Post. Nothing special here yet. This is our first blog post. Not many people will want to read this first post. There is currently no other engaging content on our post and we are unknown people yet thus there is no reason to care about the reasons for creating this blog. We are writing this first post with the aim that it will be useful in the future but not immediately useful. Over time when people find our content engaging or we become more known to the world then people may want to know about the history of the blog and the original motivations. We create this first post to give context for future readers.

We are husband and wife co-founders of Negative Star Innovators. We have recently released Paste Redactor and earlier we have released Thieves which we are now discontinuing. Our reasons for creating this blog is shown below:

  • Present our thinking and ideas for both our future selves, for other people who may find them interesting/useful and potentially provoke discussion so those ideas can be battle tested and refined.
  • Discuss our achievements and failures as we continue our entrepreneur journey so that others including ourselves can learn from our experiences.
  • To build trust between us and people who want to use what we are building. We are currently and literally no ones. Yet we recently released a privacy application. People are right to not trust us and we will need to earn that trust in multiple dimensions.
  • Provide something of value to our readers and if our readers are interested they can check out the things we are building aka advertising. We call this value added advertising.
  • By putting down our thoughts and milestones down in writing we allow ourselves to compare our previous selves against our current selves. This can act as a guide to ensure we are still on the correct path.

A note on our structure. Currently we want to use Negative Star Innovators as a framework for all products we build. We had one previous product and one current product. We expect to have multiple products released concurrently in the future and want each product to be under the Negative Star Innovators umbrella. This decision is driven by our hypothesis about AI driven development will create multiple more products operating in similar spaces as well as more products operating in more niches. This will cause hyper-competition. In addition there will also be more slop products produced. In this hyper-competitive market more people will choose products that they trust over products that are unknown. This will be by trusting people or brands they know. Competing by price alone won't work as there will be so much competition that at least some other competing products will be lower priced and competing on new functionality alone will not succeed, any new functionality will be copied and improved upon very quickly by others. By releasing all products we build under the Negative Star Innovators brand our aim is that any trust we earn from one product, blog, etc will carry over to our other products or projects we implement in the future. We think this model applies everywhere. Building up your online reputation and trust will present global opportunities from getting hired to launching your own projects whatever that may be. Even if you have no idea what you want to achieve right now.

This will be a long journey. Thank you for reading.
